The ‘new’ Pink in washroom services in Australia

The business services company, Rentokil Initial Pty Ltd, is combining its two washroom service businesses under the one name.

‘Pink’ will be the name for the new business which combines its Initial Healthcare and Pink Healthcare divisions.

“The ‘new’ Pink will bring together the two premier washroom services brands in Australia,” said Managing Director for Rentokil Initial, Mr. Iain Lynas.

While Initial Healthcare is the larger business of the two, the stronger brand recognition of the Pink brand in the market influenced our decision to create a fresh ‘new’ Pink.

“When Pink was purchased in June last year it was our intention to run the businesses separately, but we have realised that a merge of the businesses will deliver greater efficiencies allowing us to offer more competitive hygiene solutions for our customers,” said Mr. Lynas.

The new Pink creates a business with over 500 employees and over 37,000 customers in all states across Australia.

Mr. David Smith has been appointed General Manager of the new Pink. He was formerly General Manager of the Pink division.

“I am pleased that we are able to retain all positions for our sales, service and administration teams because of the future needs of the new business,” Mr. Smith said.

The new Pink will have improved efficiencies in systems and operations which will mean a greater package of total washroom solutions, better service and pricing for our customers,” said Mr. Smith.

The new business begins operation from March 1 and offices around the country will be combined in new or refreshed facilities, and in the months following all services will be progressively branded ‘Pink’.

Rentokil Initial Pty Ltd is part of the worldwide Rentokil Initial group which is one of the largest business services companies in the world, providing a range of support services in pest control, washroom and textiles, electronic security and other facility management services.

Rentokil Initial and Pink combined operate in all States and Territories in Australia. Rentokil Initial has a long history in the washroom hygiene services sector in Australia, with over 30 year’s experience, while Pink has been in operation for 15 years.
